Mickey Coburn

I especially enjoy writing plays for young folks – the kind of plays that transcend age to entertain adults as well. If parents are bored at the theatre, they won’t bring their kids back! And my plays are meant to be acted by young actors – which always intrigues a young audience. My children’s plays published by havescripts.com were written when I was directing the Boston Children’s Theatre. Because I’m a director as well as a playwright, I create plays in this genre that consider economy – in space, time and cash. My screenplay, THE WOMAN’S VOICE was a finalist in the LA Femme Film Festival a few years back. My other main stream plays have had readings in Boston and NYC. And several of my poems have been published in various journals. I’m a member of the Dramatists Guild of America.

  • Snow White

    $13.70$300.00
Snow White, often considered a Grimm Fairytale, actually came from books by the French Huguenot Charles Perrault, the creator of Mother Goose. This re-creation of the story is very modern in its dialogue and conception of the characters. Snow White is saucy and flippant, and the play has a sense of humor, timeless charm and a touch of “camp” that adults, as well as children, enjoy.
