Bonnie Culver

Writer, professor, former Dean and award-winning author and playwright are words to describe Dr. Bonnie Culver and her contributions to Wilkes University and the literary community. A professor of English at Wilkes since 1990, her original writings have garnered three finalist and semi-finalist finishes at the prestigious Sundance Institute’s Feature Film Development Program.
Her original play Sniper was awarded the 2003 Perry Award for Outstanding Production of an Original Play. It is given out annually and recognizes excellence in New Jersey Community Theater. Sniper made its New York City debut as an Off-Broadway production in January 2005. Culver is a member of the Dramatists Guild, the Author’s League of America, the National Council of Teachers of English and the Association for Theatre in Higher Education to name a few.
