Blue Moon Plays, LLC, is an independent publisher of play scripts and musicals written by professional authors.We publish scripts under the imprints Havescripts, Blue Moon Plays and Scriptworks Press.
We license scripts for plays for performance and for educational use.

We have merged all three publishing imprints in this website to provide a wider range of high quality professionally written plays and musicals for our customers.
Visitors can search for scripts they need with an online play search form and there is also an Index of Plays, listing all the plays in category sections. The Havescripts imprint was established in 2003, Blue Moon Plays in 2014 and Scriptworks Press in 2016.

Havescripts Play Script Publishers
HaveScripts is the play script publishing company from which Blue Moon Plays emerged. Their mission is, and was, to serve the educational theater and community theater marketplace.
We retained many of those original scripts which continue to be popular with schools, senior groups, churches, other spiritual communities, and community theater.
The HaveScripts imprint is dedicated to keeping the classics alive in theatrical adaptations, providing a forum for religious and spiritual expression, and bringing theater to diverse communities around the world.
Blue Moon Plays Play Script Publishers
Blue Moon Plays champions new original scripts, for risky, contemporary theater.
Play scripts published under the Blue Moon Plays imprint will either have had significant productions with material that has proven controversial or is off the beaten path.
Some of these plays may present casting or staging challenges to theaters. In either case, they have not seen the number of productions they deserve and we are providing a home for them here.
We provide a resource for theaters looking for a script that is quirky either by its content or its staging, but which is still in the development stage. and looking for a Premier Production.
Unlike some other play-listing websites that offer playwrights a place to list new scripts, plays on this website have gone through numerous stages of development and vetting, so their quality is assured and worth the time they take to read.
ScriptWorks Press
Over time, it became clear that some plays either belonged in collections or weren’t exactly plays in the traditional sense.
The potential for theatrical events that didn’t obey the boundaries of the traditional stage emerged and so began the collections of monologues and poetry for the stage.
Thus, there was a need for a third imprint: ScriptWorks Press, the label that now marks our foray into inviting prose writers as well as poets to join us on stage.
Unicorn Bay Press
Inaugurated in 2020, Unicorn Bay Press was created to publish vibrant dramatic poetry which can be utilized for monologue performances and spoken word theatre. .
Individually, the poems are excellent material for solo performances, one-man or one-woman shows and forensic competitions. Performance licensing is dealt with on an individual basis.
Whatever the imprint, if one of our plays hasn’t made you think, we haven’t done our job.
